IBM’s Watson Financial Services

As Head of Regulatory Offerings within IBM’s Watson Financial Services division, Heather is responsible for product strategy of regulatory solutions within IBM’s GRC portfolio.  During the past 18 years, she has specialized in developing solutions to optimize regulatory compliance initiatives and the need for risk and compliance automation in financial services.  Prior to joining IBM, Heather was responsible for overseeing the compliance analytics division of regulatory solutions at Wolters Kluwer.

IBM Watson Financial Services

Tom is the customer-facing CTO for IBM's Watson Financial Services group, focused on Financial Crimes and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) technologies. Prior to this Tom was CTO for IBM Industry Solutions and helped drive technology planning designing and building Cognitive solutions that span IBM Watson, Software, Cloud, Research and GBS. Tom has created & launched many data science as a service offerings and authored papers on emerging analytics methodologies that change the art of the possible. In Q1 2015 the programs that Tom invented were expanded to a global IBM initiative.

Prior to this Tom was Program Director on IBM’s Big Data Team. He played a formative role moving NoSQL technology from Research to IBM Software Group. Tom started IBMs BigInsights Hadoop-based product, and worked with 300+ customers on Hadoop, Streaming, Cassandra & related big data technologies identifying architecture fit, business & monetization strategies. Prior to this Tom worked in the Information Management CTO’s office focused on emerging technology and IBM’s innovative Enterprise Mashups and early Cloud offerings. Tom came to IBM through the FileNet acquisition, where he helped spearhead FileNet product initiatives.
