Li Cui is the Chief Economist, Managing Director, and Head of Macro Research at China Construction Bank International, responsible for the investment bank’s macroeconomic assessment, thematic views, and asset allocation ideas. She was formerly a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where she led the bank’s macroeconomic research on China. Prior to that she led/conducted China macro research at Royal Bank of Scotland, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and IMF. Her research has been frequently quoted in policy publications, market reports, and media. Li has also built extensive networks in financial markets, policy institutions, and academia, both in China and overseas.
She holds a B.A. from People’s University of China and M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University.
Arjan de Boer

Drawing upon his extensive leadership experience and industry knowledge, Arjan is responsible for the entire products and services offering in Asia and overlooks the regional investment strategy.
Arjan started his financial career with Hollandsche Bank Unie (HBU), serving Private, Corporate and Institutional clients within a dealing room environment, and subsequently became Head of Treasury & Special Products Private Clients in the Netherlands.
He has over 14 years of experience with ABN AMRO Private Banking, of which more than 7 years were spent in Asia. In early 2006, he relocated to Singapore to take up the position of Regional Head of Treasury & Special Products for Private Banking in Asia with ABN AMRO.
With his strong understanding of the needs of Asian clients, Arjan moved to Hong Kong in April 2010 and was appointed Head of Private Banking for North Asia. Following this, he was appointed Head of North Asia at ANZ Private Bank before being appointed Head of Integration for ANZ Retail & Private Wealth Asia in April 2016.
Arjan was appointed Head of Markets & Investment Solutions Asia at Indosuez Wealth Management in February 2017.
Arjan graduated with a Master of Science in Business Economics from Nyenrode University, the Netherlands.
Senior Engagement Specialist
Ronnie Lim is the Senior Engagement Specialist at Robeco Hong Kong, responsible for stewardship and active ownership for Robeco's Asia-Pacific portfolio companies on ESG issues, with a focus on corporate governance.
Mr. Lim previously worked at Aviva Global Investors London as an analyst and Head of Research, and later at Climate Change Capital London to where he was a Portfolio Manager for the Global Environmental Opportunities fund, an absolute-return strategy. Mr. Lim also worked for 15 years in institutional equities at Cazenove, CLSA and RBS where he also led regional cash equity teams. Mr. Lim was educated in the UK, and holds the Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK.

Eric currently serves as Head of QIS, Asia. Prior to joining Société Générale in May 2018, Eric was the Head of Quantitative and Alternative Investments at CSOP Asset management from 2016. Before then, he was with Equity and Hybrids Structuring team at Goldman Sachs basing in Hong Kong from 2009. Eric began his career at KGI Securities in Taiwan in 2003.
Eric holds a Master of Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and Master of Business Administration from National Taiwan University.

Mushtaq Kapasi is ICMA’s Chief Representative for the Asia-Pacific region. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2002, engaged in senior strategy, capital market and legal roles covering the region at international banks active in Asia. He has worked as a lawyer in debt capital markets and derivatives, a structurer in equities and fixed income, a manager of complex trades with regulatory and accounting considerations, and an adviser to top executives on emerging market strategy. He has also served as a consultant on financial structures of renewable energy projects in frontier markets. He is a member of the New York State Bar, and studied mathematics at the University of Texas and law at Yale University.

Mr. Eddie Lau has over 16 years of investment management and trading experience in Asia and North America.
He joined Rongtong Global Investment as CIO and Deputy CEO in April 2018 to lead their international investment efforts in equities, fixed income and multi-managers and cross-border solutions. He began his career as a convertible bond trader with UBS in the U.S. in 2002. Since 2006, Eddie has managed absolute-return portfolios at Elliott Advisors and Merrill Lynch global proprietary trading group respectively. Eddie co-founded PCA Investment, a multi-strategy hedge fund in Beijing and Hong Kong, and Harmony Advisors, a multi-family office in Hong Kong. He was portfolio manager for absolute-return portfolios and global multi-asset portfolios respectively.
Eddie graduated from the University of Chicago with B.A. in Economics with Honors in 2002.
Mr. Lee has over 20 years of experience in banking and is an entrepreneur in the technology sector.
He began his career at Morgan Stanley later joining JPMorgan Securities Equity Derivatives. Subsequently, he joined HSBC Global Markets and became the Head of Structured Products Sales, APAC. Mr. Lee later joined BBVA as the Co-Head of Global Markets, APAC integrating their investments into Citic Bank and a strategic advisor to key projects in promoting Low Carbon Emissions and Special Economic Development Zones in China. In 2012, he led E-Fund Management as Global Head of Sales, where E-Funds listed the world’s first RQFII ETF on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Guillaume re-joined Natixis in January 2016 and has over 13 years of experience in Equity Derivatives structuring, creating products linked to equities, algorithmic strategies and funds for all client segments.
He began his career in 2005 as a quantitative structurer at Natixis Japan and was relocated to Hong Kong in 2006 to start the business in Asia ex-Japan.
In 2010 Guillaume joined Standard Chartered in Hong Kong and was instrumental in developing the Structured Equity platform, covering Asia and the Middle East.

Ms. Véronique Lafon-Vinais is a seasoned financial market professional with over 20 years of banking and capital markets experience. She has worked in all the major financial markets and has extensive experience in all the major debt markets.
Véronique joined Crédit Agricole in Paris in 1980 after graduating from HEC; she moved to First Chicago (now part of JP Morgan) in London in 1984 then to Chicago in 1990. In 1991 Véronique joined Union Investissements, the M&A and corporate finance subsidiary of Crédit Agricole in Paris to work on various M&A and corporate finance advisory projects. Véronique moved to Hong Kong in 1994 joining First Chicago as Managing Director, Head of Financial Markets, Asia Pacific. She joined Standard Chartered Bank PLC as Head of Treasury Origination in 2000 and retired from banking in 2001.
She is now dedicating herself full time to education and teaching as Associate Professor of Business Education, Department of Finance, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where she teaches in the MBA/MSc programs as well as in the Undergraduate Programs, and professional training and consulting for the finance industry. She is the Executive Director, Career Development & Corporate Outreach for the School of Business and Management at HKUST, Associate Director for the UG programs, Associate Director of the tri-degree World Bachelor in Business Program, and Project Director for the HKUST-NYU Stern MSc in Global Finance.
Véronique is married with two children. She is a French national and a Hong Kong Permanent Resident.

David Lai is a Partner and co-Chief Investment Officer of Premia Partners. Prior to Premia Partners, David was Executive Director and Responsible Officer at China Asset Management (HK) Limited where he supervised the company’s investment activities and led the build-out of the company’s ETF platform in Hong Kong, including launching the world’s first cross-border RQFII-based ETF with over US$2 billion in AuM. Before that, David had been a portfolio manager since 2002 at Hang Seng Bank, Mirae Asset Global Investments, and Citic Securities International. David has demonstrated proven investment track record in both active and passive strategies, recognized by numerous industry awards.
David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a Master of Science degree in Investment Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and is a CFA charterholder.

Stephanie Leung has 14 years of experience in the finance/consulting industry. She began her career at McKinsey & Company advising companies in the Asia Pacific region. From 2006 to 2013, Stephanie worked at Goldman Sachs initially in Research and later in the Equities division managing a HK/China portfolio. She worked as Portfolio Manager for Kriya Capital and Harmony Advisors subsequently, and in 2017 she joined Caravel Asset Management as the Deputy CIO. Stephanie earned her MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and BS in Computer Engineering from University of Michigan.

Belle has been with Hang Seng Bank as Head of Investment Advisory and Executive Director of Hang Seng Investment Services since 2011. She is currently leading both investment product specialist team and client portfolio advisory team to serve the Bank's high net worth clients as well as corporate clients. Prior to joining Hang Seng, she had accumulated years of experience in global markets and Hong Kong equities, as a research analyst and equity strategist for various financial institutions. Belle holds an MBA degree from William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester.

Ms. Yaping Liu has more than 15 years of working experience in asset management, credit market and wealth management, and has extensive experience on Wall Street, Hong Kong/Singapore and China markets.
Ms. Yaping Liu is currently the vice president of Zhenghe Kaiyuan Holding Co., Ltd. and the General Manager of Family Office. She manages the investment research center, institutional business and family wealth business, maintains good relationship with family customers, provides sound advice for the development of their families and businesses, and helps with the development of their family business and the family lifestyle. In parallel, she also leads a team to provide various high-quality research reports, including macro industry, asset allocation, funds and other investment research reports, to the customers through in-depth market analysis, accurate judgment of the economic cycle and in-depth study of asset rotation. Her another work direction is to establish a quantitative research team to provide family customers with powerful and effective quantitative investment tools to assist them investing in financial markets by conducting in-depth quantitative transactions, quantitative portfolio management and research on derivatives.
Prior to this, Ms. Liu was the director of the Securities Department of Jingdong Finance Company and was responsible for the development plan of the department as well as the acquisition of securities licenses and the development of investment trading platforms for securities clients, she used the approach of screening of external fund managers to help enterprise customers invest in financial markets through portfolio investment.
Ms. Liu also held senior position as of Vice General Manager in a large multinational insurance group, she was fully responsible for the strategy and planning of the company's large capital management platform and formulates short-medium-long term landing plans. She was in charge of the construction and daily operation of the Group's sub-companies of securities, asset management, fund company and Hong Kong fund company, has diverse experience in group customer relationship management, customer attribute matching and cross-border integrated financial service strategies. She was also establishing a Wealth Management Department and set up Internet Wealth Management, Robot advisor and Asset Allocation/Wealth Planning programs to help customers screen products.
In 2007, Ms. Liu returned to China from the United States, joined UBS and participated in UBS's acquisition of Beijing Securities, and initially worked closely with the Asia-Pacific project team to oversee the preparation and launch of UBS Securities Wealth Management Platform. She participated in the construction and daily operation of business departments. She led several projects, such as online banking, CRM, DPM/CIM, public fund consignment, and client trading platform. Afterwards, she was responsible for business management at the company level, participated in the company's acquisition plan and wealth management, asset management restructuring and other projects, coordinated company information disclosure and regulatory reports.
In addition, Ms. Liu has more than 8 years of working experience on Wall Street in the United States. She was initially an analyst at Wall Street Source, a US-based company, responsible for the daily investment analysis reports and communication with clients. Later she joined Citibank headquarters and was responsible for fixed-income global transactions, focusing on London and Japanese markets.
Ms. Liu holds a Master degree from the Robot Research Center of Nanyang Technological University. She also holds a Bachelor degree in engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Andrew Lo is an Executive Director, Wealth Management at UBS AG in Hong Kong. He has 14 years of private banking experience in client advisory function. Prior to banking, Andrew had worked in engineering in a number of overseas postings. He received an MSc from Oxford University and is a CAIA Charterholder.

As Chief Distribution Officer, Aleksey is responsible for driving ETF growth, client education and external engagement with clients, partners and investors at Premia Partners. Prior to joining the firm, Aleksey was an experienced practitioner in the ETF industry and has been part of the finance community across the globe. He was in various leadership positions at iShares, including Head of APAC Fixed Income and Head of Asia ex-Japan Institutional Sales. He was also part of the iShares APAC COO team, responsible for business management and strategy across the region. Before moving to Hong Kong, Aleksey was part of the BlackRock Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in London, focused on sales and relationship management with European insurers. Prior to that, he was based in Tokyo, responsible for relationship management, client service and product development for the firm's Japanese clients. Aleksey began his career as an analyst in BlackRock's New York office, working on client service and support for Asian and Middle Eastern clients.

Prior to joining Convoy Asset Management as its chief investment officer, Derek was the head of asset management and the chief investment officer at RHB Asset Management, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RHB Investment Bank Berhad. Before that, Derek was a director of investment management at China Securities (International) Asset Management Company and was a director of investment at Haitong International Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing mandatory provident funds, unit trusts and private funds.
He was also a portfolio manager with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, responsible for managing the global equity portfolio exposure for the exchange fund. Moreover, Derek has worked for other renowned asset companies, including Guotai Junan Assets (Asia) and BEA Union Investment Management, responsible for managing equity investments for portfolios from insurance companies, universities and pension funds.

Viktor Östebo joined Flow Traders in 2011 and relocated to its Singapore office in 2016. He is heading the firms Institutional Trading desk that is responsible for the relations with external counterparties and institutional investors across the region. Flow Traders is one of the largest independent market makers in the World. More than 100 traders proud themselves with providing liquidity and highly competitive 2-way prices in futures as well as more than 3000 ETFs globally. Stephen has a MSc in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School in the UK, and is a Chartered Statistician and a Chartered Scientist. Stephen is currently the Chief Investment Officer at Hefeng Family Office. Before Hefeng, he held financial positions in various institutions, including senior portfolio manager at Veco Invest (Asia) Limited; managing multi-manager portfolios at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the largest institutional investors in the Asia Pacific region; at the quantitative micro-strategy team with Deutsche Bank, ranked one of the top three research teams in the Quantitative / Derivative Category by Institutional Investors; a portfolio analysis specialist with JP Morgan Asset Management in the UK; and a fixed income analyst for The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc. in the UK.

Bharat Sachanandani is Head of Asiapac Flow Strategy & Solutions (FSS), a cross-asset derivatives strategy and bespoke solutions team, based in Hong Kong.
Bharat has over 12 years of experience in Asian markets across asset classes Equities, Credit, Rates, FX and Derivatives. Prior to joining SG in August 2015, he held buyside roles in portfolio management, as well as sellside roles in Sales & Trading in Global Markets.
He holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College and a Masters in Economic Policy from Columbia University. He is a charterholder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Senior Vice President, Equity Product Development
Alexander Siu is presently a Senior Vice President, Equities Product Development team at HKEX. He joined HKEX in June 2012 and is responsible for the equities product strategy and the development and management new equities derivatives products. Alex also manages external third party licensing relationships with key partners and is a member of the Financial Benchmark Working Group of the Treasury Markets Association. Alex has also previously served in Product Development roles for Fixed Income and Currency Development at Hong Kong Exchange and in incubation of China Exchanges Services Company Limited, the joint venture between HKEX, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Before joining HKEX, Alexander managed Business Development for Standard & Poor's Equity Research Services based in Hong Kong from May 2011. Alex led the development of Asia Equity Research Product strategy to align the organization's research offering with client demands. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong, Alex served in project management, product development, vendor management and operations management roles at Standard & Poor's in New York and Toronto in both Equity Research and Index Design and Development.
Alex is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, Canada.

Gary Tiernan is Head of Investments at Crossinvest Asia, a leading independent private wealth manager, based in Singapore, offering exclusive discretionary management, financial advisory and family office solutions. In this capacity, he is responsible for the suite of investment services as well as helping to grow the business and directly manage private clients.
Prior to joining Crossinvest, Gary worked for Standard Chartered Private Bank as a key member of the Global Management Committee where he held a number of senior leadership roles including Global Head of Investment Advisory, Fiduciary, and Sales Management. In addition to being a Member of the Global Investment Committee, he was also a Board Member of two trust companies.
He has been based in Singapore since 2004 when he was appointed Asia Regional Head of Global Investments and Sales for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management. Before this he had spent 8 years in Switzerland and his last position was Regional Head of Product Management and Investment Solutions with Deutsche Bank in Geneva.
Gary began his financial markets career trading options in London with Morgan Grenfell Securities and progressed to leading options and proprietary trading teams in Investment Banking.
Gary was born in Ireland. He graduated from Sheffield University, U.K. with a BA in Economics, Accounting and Financial Management. He is married with two children.

Mr. Wong Yiu Chung, Andy 黃耀宗 (Chief Investment Strategist of Investment Research, Harris Fraser Group)
Mr. Wong is the Chief Investment Strategist of Investment Research in Harris Fraser Group Limited. He covers the global markets and provides investment strategies across different asset classes. He is also a portfolio manager which focus on mutual funds, ETFs and equities etc. Mr. Wong is frequently interviewed by Hong Kong and international financial journals, and he is a regular lecturer in investment education seminars. Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor degree major in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. He holds the professional qualification of Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Associate Financial Planner (AFP ™). Recently, he published an ETF related book 《ETF實戰策略》 in Hong Kong.

Roger holds the position of VP for Numerix for the last 10 years, leading a Business Solution team for the North Asia. Roger has worked with more than dozens of financial institutions to help them architecting and deploying derivative related solutions, including pricing with various financial models, portfolio and risk management. He also acts as a key role to understand the latest market trend and channels them back to the research team to shape the future of the company’s product.
Roger has received a Master in Finance from University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Philosophy from City University of Hong Kong.

Blake Evans-Pritchard is bureau chief, Asia, for Risk.net based in Hong Kong. Before taking on his current role, he spent three years covering regulatory issues across Asia for Risk.net, including implementation of Basel III and other international standards in regional jurisdictions. Previously, he spent five years in Brussels writing about the European Union’s financial services sector and competition policy and a number of years as Africa editor for a news service covering post-conflict restitution around the world.
