Michael Moro

CEO

Genesis Global Trading

Michael Moro has been CEO of Genesis since early 2016. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded from digital asset OTC trading into institutional borrowing, lending, derivatives, custody, and prime brokerage services.  Previously, Moro served as COO of Genesis, responsible for all operations and management at the firm. 

Prior to Genesis, Moro spent six years as Vice President and Director at SecondMarket, which grew to $2.5 billion in transactions and was acquired by NASDAQ. Before SecondMarket, he spent six years working in investment banking at Citi, covering financial institutions, including JP Morgan, Capital One and Sallie Mae.


Moro is a graduate of Georgetown University, holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 86/87 licenses, and is an active member of the Oversight Committee for the CME CF Bitcoin Pricing Products.

Michelle Bond

Prior to joining ADAM as its CEO, Bond has served as the global head of policy and regulatory affairs at two fintech companies, where she developed and executed global regulatory strategy for digital assets, blockchain, and global payments. Bond has also worked at Bloomberg LP, serving as head of global regulatory affairs – and she is an expert in securities, derivatives, banking, and fintech regulation. Bond previously served as international counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act. Bond was also a subject matter expert on the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs for the Dodd-Frank Act and its technical corrections bill, as well as the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act). Bond launched her legal career at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) before practicing law at Hogan Lovells and WilmerHale. She has been covered by Fortune’s Most Powerful Women, as well as featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CNBC, Bloomberg, Business Insider, POLITICO, The Hill, RealClearMarkets, CoinDesk,Traders Magazine, and other leading publications.

Sebastian Bea

Sebastian Pedro Bea, OLY, is the President of One River Digital.  Sebastian, in concert with the team, develops and executes the One River Digital strategic plan.  Sebastian is focused on building ORD’s investment platform and global client base.  Sebastian also serves as the Head of Sales and Strategy for One River Asset Management.  Sebastian and his team help global clients understand, access, and stay connected to the investment capabilities of One River, across both Alternative strategies and Digital assets.  Sebastian has 20 years of experience across liquid public markets and institutional investing.

Prior to joining One River, Sebastian worked at BlackRock, beginning in 2012.  Sebastian was most recently a Managing Director at BlackRock, co-leading investment strategy globally for BlackRock Systematic Active Equity.  Prior to BlackRock, Sebastian worked at Credit Suisse, beginning in 2001.  Sebastian built relationships with institutional investors, delivering the firm’s proprietary data, capital markets product, and firmwide capabilities. 

Sebastian holds a double major in English and Economics from The University of California, Berkeley. Sebastian is a World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist, in rowing, for the United States of America.

Matthew Jozoff

Matthew is head of digital asset securitization at Radkl, bringing fixed income concepts to the crypto markets. Prior to that, he co-headed fixed income, currencies, commodities, and index research at J.P.Morgan, where he had worked for 15 years. He ran the mortgage strategy team at Goldman Sachs and began his career at Lehman Brothers in mortgage research. He has an A.B. in physics from Princeton University and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School.

Oli Harris

Oli is part of the Digital Assets team at Goldman Sachs, responsible for North America.

Previously, he was at J.P. Morgan where he created the Corporate & Investment Bank’s Digital Strategy & FinTech team, including their InResidence incubation programme, before becoming Head of Digital Assets Strategy & Quorum (an open source Ethereum-based blockchain and smart contracts platform for enterprises).

Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was seconded to the Office of Tony Blair, was a Project Manager at the World Economic Forum where he led their New Energy Architecture Initiative, and was a Strategy Consultant at Accenture.

Oli is a passionate design thinker, having spent time at Stanford’s d.school, a mentor at selected accelerators, and a member of Allen & Overy’s selection committee for their Fuse innovation program. He is a graduate of Cambridge University.

 

 

Vanessa Grellet

Vanessa Grellet is a Global Executive with over 20 years of expertise in the Financial Services and Tech industry. At CoinFund she is the Head of Portfolio growth where she oversees and supports the portfolio companies. Previously she was an Executive Director at ConsenSys where she focused on driving adoption for Ethereum, Strategic initiatives, Alliances and Channels.  She was involved in setting up the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), sits on the Board of the Accounting Blockchain Coalition (ABC) and is the President of the Blockchain for Social Impact Coalition (BSIC). Prior to ConsenSys she was a Strategy Executive at NYSE and a key member of PwC’s global wealth management team. Vanessa is a Founding Board member of AABC focused on Blockchain and Art, she sits on the Advisory Council of ConsenSys and the Resolution Project. She is a Milken Institute Associate and contributed to the World Economic Forum Digital Future Council.

Daniel Tenengauzer

Daniel Tenengauzer is Head of Markets Strategy at BNY Mellon and leader of the Aerial View market commentary platform. In this role, Daniel heads strategy efforts for our clients, providing them with original insights into the world's asset and currency flows, equipped by the firm's unique position at the center of the global financial system. He also acts as a media spokesperson for BNY Mellon on global macroeconomic and geopolitical issues.

Boasting more than 20 years of cross-asset experience on both the buy and sell sides, Daniel is a seasoned global macro researcher with unparalleled knowledge of international markets, informed by lengthy periods working on four continents. He joined BNY Mellon from Tse Capital Management, a New York-based hedge fund, where he was director of research, overseeing currencies and fixed income exposures globally.

Before Tse, Daniel supported foreign exchange and fixed income sales and trading at some of the world's largest banks, from emerging market debt and FX at Goldman Sachs, to G10 research at Lehman Brothers, and emerging markets fixed income strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. More recently, Daniel led global FX strategy for RBC Capital Markets.

He holds a master's degree in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has also been published in a wide variety of academic journals and speaks several languages, including Portuguese, Hebrew and Spanish.

James Angel

James Angel is an associate professor of finance at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. His work is at the intersection of financial market structure, technology, and regulation.  His interests include fintech, cryptocurrencies, and payments.  He has visited over 70 stock and commodities exchanges around the world in his quest to learn the details of how markets really operate. 

Professor Angel has served as a Visiting Academic Fellow in residence at the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD – now FINRA) and also as a visiting economist at the Shanghai Stock Exchange.  He served as chairman of the Nasdaq Economic Advisory Board and later on the board of directors of the Direct Edge stock exchanges prior to their acquisition by BATS Global Markets. He is now the Academic Director of the FINRA CRCP® program at Georgetown.

Jim is a co-inventor on 12 fintech patents.  He has testified six times before Congress about issues relating to the design of financial markets.  In addition, he has been quoted in thousands of media articles and has appeared numerous times on radio and television.  

He began his professional career as a rate engineer at Pacific Gas and Electric, where he worked on FERC and CPUC related issues in electricity regulation.  After earning his MBA at Harvard, he worked at BARRA (later part of Morgan Stanley) where he developed transactions cost prediction and equity risk models used in portfolio management. 

Jim earned his B.S. from the California Institute of Technology, his MBA from Harvard Business School, and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.  He has been a professor at Georgetown University since 1991. From 2012 to 2014 he was a visiting associate professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  The courses he teaches include Investments, Fintech, Capital Markets, and World Equity Markets, as well as Complex Financial Instruments and Derivatives.

Steven McClurg is the Chief Investment Officer of Valkyrie Investments. He has considerable traditional finance and Fintech experience, ranging from insurtech and payments to blockchain.

Previously, Mr. McClurg was a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, where he was a portfolio manager and responsible for portfolio construction and strategy for fixed income and private equity. Most recently, Mr. McClurg founded Theseus Capital, a blockchain-powered asset management platform which was acquired by a merchant bank, Galaxy Digital, where he continued as Managing Director, building their asset management and public funds businesses. He also co-founded payments company, Paydrop. He also has experience in leadership roles in technology companies such as Electronic Arts and Crowdfunder. Mr. McClurg holds a Master of Science and an MBA from Pepperdine University, where he has served as an adjunct professor.

Hugo Langéen

Hugo Langéen is a co-founder and CEO of the Swedish crypto asset management company Valid Alpha, which launched the crypto arbitrage fund ValidOne in February 2022. Prior to Valid Alpha, Hugo co-founded and ran an AI-driven FX-fund. 

His road to start and run algorithm-based hedge funds is not the usual one. Hugo started working as an alternate solo bassoon player in the Malmö Opera Orchestra before becoming one of the world’s most renowned online poker players, specializing in big data and behaviour analysis. Bridging the gap to the fund businesses industry, Hugo traded his own portfolio for ten years while working with high-profile trading specialists in the process.
