Daryl Ho

Mr. Ho has been appointed as Executive Director (Banking Policy) of Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in April 2017.  His key responsibilities include implementing international regulatory standards and banking policy making, including policy on green and sustainable banking.

An economist by training, Mr. Ho joined the Research Department of HKMA in 2001.  Before taking up his present role, he had worked in various functional areas including monetary operations, market development, and financial stability surveillance.

Before joining HKMA, Mr. Ho served in the investment banking industry as an economist between 1993 and 2000.

Stan is an experienced investment banking and credit rating expert, with equity capital market and corporate finance experience in Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns, where he worked on IPO, ADR listing and convertible bond offering for Non-Japan Asian issuers. Stan also worked as the Head of Non-Japan Asia structured finance group at Fitch Ratings, where he covered securitisation, covered bonds and REIT corporate rating for Non-Japan Asian issuers.

Stan has solid and direct green finance and certification experience. Stan is involved in the rating of green and sustainable bonds issued by various Chinese issuers in the international capital market. Stan is also the Green Finance Certification Scheme Technical Committee Member of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), where he is one of the approval members of the HKQAA green certification of the bonds issued, and loans borrowed, by Chinese and Hong Kong corporates and financial institutions. Stan is the Green Finance and Sustainability Subject Advisory Panel Member at Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB).

Stan is the Executive Committee Member of Asia-Pacific Structured Finance Association (APSA), the Admissions, Budgets & Allocations Committee Member of the Community Chest of Hong Kong, the International and Professional Examinations Business Development Advisory Committee Member of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA), and the Examination Moderating Sub-Committee Member of Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB). Stan was the Member of the Mainland Opportunities Committee, the Human Capital Committee and the Talent Strategy Working Group of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) between 2017 and 2021.

Stan is the Professor of Practice (MIBF) of the Department of Economics at Lingnan University (LU), the Adjunct Professor (EMBA) of the College of Business at City University of Hong Kong (CityU), the Adjunct Professor of the School of Business at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), the Adjunct Associate Professor of Finance at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and the Honorary Institute Associate of the Asia-Pacific Institute of Business at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Stan is also the University Career Development Committee Advisor and the Business Studies Advisory Board Member at LU.

  • Developed a new product and complex transaction approval process for the Global Wholesale business by working with business leadership in Global Markets and Investment Banking.  Created procedures, led IT development of a workflow tool and an approved product database and developed global training.  Resulted in a globally consistent approach to new product approval and increased efficiency in approval of cross-border business.

EMEA Head of New Business, 2011 – 2014

  • Implemented new product and transaction approval in the EMEA business, managing a team of 7 (1 ED, 3 VPs, 3 Associates). 
  • Improved efficiency and control around the approval processes by documenting procedures and reducing bureaucracy as measured by improved turn-around times, positive feedback from business lines and reduction in operational risk events or errors as a result of new product launches.
  • Led interaction with and managed regulatory audits conducted by Bank of England (PRA), UK Financial Conduct Authority, Bank of Japan and JFSA.  Successfully provided assurance to regulators of the robustness of new product approval process as measured by limited remediation points during a period when regulators were requesting external audits on all focus areas.
  • Improved oversight of risk and returns of new and complex products by developing product back-testing, whereby revenue generated by products were assessed after one year.  Presented findings to regional Board and business leadership, resulting in certain non-performing businesses lines being discontinued or altered.  As a result, management was provided assurance that business lines were accountable for introducing new products, processes and operational risks to the firm. 

Senior Risk Manager, Operational Risk Management, 2009 – 2011

  • Implemented the Operational Risk Framework in Global Markets and Investment Banking following acquisition of Lehman Brothers EMEA business. Worked with business line COOs and managed operational risk team of 3 individuals to develop the risk and control self-assessments by desk, implement key risk indicators and operational risk event investigation and reporting.  Operational Risk Framework was rolled-out to the businesses lines within 6 months of integration. 
  • Initiated and developed reporting for monthly risk and control meetings by regional business line which reviewed the operational risk profile front to back with representatives from all corporate departments, resulting in improved ownership of operational risk.  Expanded regional meetings to global product lines by working with Global Heads of Trading and corporate departments, coordinating with regional ORM and developing a cross-regional aggregated risk profile.  Meetings were led by head of business, demonstrating ownership of Operational Risk by first line of defense.
  • Created front-to-back trade process maps by aggregating information between IT, Operations, and trading.  Documented key controls and manual processes, which provided senior management with detailed view on infrastructure requirements.

Ms Zita Chung is the Chief Investment Officer responsible for investment activities across Sun Life Asset Management (HK).  She has over 20 years of experience investing across multi-asset classes.  She joined Sun Life in 2012 as portfolio manager for the insurance portfolios and later took on a leadership role in the regional office, providing oversight on investment management and driving strategic initiatives across Asia.  Prior to joining Sun Life, Ms Chung was a senior consultant at Mercer Investment Consulting providing investment advice for institutional clients in the region.  She has also worked in Hastings Funds Management, responsible for asset management activities for an unlisted private equity infrastructure fund.  She is a Fellow of Institute of Actuaries of Australia and holds a Master of Commerce from the Macquarie University, having previously competed Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.

Tom Digby

Tom Digby leads the ETF Business Development and Capital Markets team in Asia Pacific. The Business Development team helps Invesco clients across Asia Pacific, generate better outcomes in their investment portfolios whilst expanding Invesco’s ETF presence and capabilities across the region. In addition Tom leads the ETF Capital Markets team who provide in-depth trading, liquidity, product structure and market knowledge which help educate investors and market participants trade ETFs. Tom relocated to Hong Kong office in 2019 from Invesco EMEA where he held the position of Head of ETF Client Trading EMEA. There, he and his team helped investors find the most cost effective and efficient way to buy, sell or switch in to an of Invesco’s range of Exchange Traded Products. Prior to joining Invesco, Tom worked at Source, a specialized European-based ETF provider. As one of the original members of the Capital Markets team, he has a deep understanding of ETFs and the product suite. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Investment Management from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) part of the City of London University.

Fanda Ho

Fanda leads the Investment team in Prudential Hong Kong and is responsible for Strategic Asset Allocation and Portfolio Hedging to enhance the return and risk management for the products in order to meet the long term investment target. She is also responsible for overseeing the selection and performance of underlying managers. She works with key partners within Prudential group to design investment and operational framework for efficiently managing the entire portfolios, including tactical asset allocation, derivatives and other investment strategies (such as ESG and Alternatives). She also drives new product ideas from an investment initiative and supports investment related matters for marketing.

Fanda has over 14 years of experience in asset management and liability hedging for global insurance companies. Prior to joining Prudential Hong Kong in 2017, Fanda was the Client Solutions Director with Aviva Investors in London where she provided asset related solutions to internal and external clients. Before that she was the Senior Portfolio Manager overseeing the investment strategy of ₤50 bn annuity funds and also leading the hedging strategy of ₤100bn With-Profits funds in Prudential UK. Fanda is a CFA Charterholder and possesses BSc Actuarial Science from London School of Economics and MPhil Finance from University of Cambridge.

Yingyi Shen

Prior to returning to Asia and joining family office industry, Yingyi was a global macro Portfolio Manager seeded by Tudor Investment Corporation in New York. Before that, she was a Portfolio Associate at PIMCO in Europe, focusing on G10 and Emerging Markets FX and rates.

Prior to joining Friends of the Earth (HK), he was a Guest Lecturer with City University responsible for delivering Economic subjects.

Before he joined City University, He was the APAC Director of Research and Operations for DHR International which is one of the leading Human Resources Consulting firms globally.

In addition, he has also worked as the APAC Research Manager at a FinTech company, Dealogic responsible for a group of 15 researchers analyzing Fixed Income transactions including Green Bonds, Sustainability-Linked Loans, and other green financing transactions in the Asia Pacific region.

Josephine Chiu

Josephine graduated from University of Western Ontario, Richard Ivey School of Business. She is also an avid investor in angel investments and property development. Jacqueline Pang

Jacqueline Pang is the Head of ETF Sales, Asia Pacific of HSBC Asset Management. She is responsible in building up and driving the growth of HSBC ETF distribution in the region. Jacqueline joined HSBC from State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), where she heads up the ETF Capital Markets activities for Asia Pacific where she was involved in setting up the SPDR ETF business in APAC as one founding member with the focus in driving the liquidity, execution proposition and strengthening the market structure within the ETF ecosystem. Before moving to Hong Kong, She was with Amundi Asset Management, where she ran the capital markets business and was responsible for the development of ETFs covering brokers and market makers across Europe. She was also a product specialist for hedge funds at Amundi Alternative Investment in France in 2007. Prior to working at Amundi, she worked at ICAP Asia Pacific in Singapore, where she worked as an inter-dealer broker covering the money market desk. She also worked at DBS Bank where she marketed products to private clients. Jacqueline has a bachelor of science in economics and finance from RMIT University.

Before joining BMO, Jaye was the Senior Managing Director, Head of Investment Hong Kong at EFG Bank AG. In this role, Jaye led the Investment Department that consisted of investment counselors, asset-class advisors, due diligence specialists and security traders.
